Lakeside Post/ DramacydalEnt: Whether intentional or not, ESPN’s since-deleted headline about Jeremy Lin was distressing and shows RACISM is still here.

Wow....Thats pretty much all I can come up with as I think about Jeremy Lin's impact on the N.B.A as well as the New York Knicks. AND, WOW is how I feel about ESPN'S Copy Editor's remark's made towards Jeremy Lin's Friday night performance. "CHINK IN ARMOR" I mean REALLY? And now is the point of "FIREABLE OFFENSE" or not?
It's been reported that since the remark it has been deleted...Ok open up your ear's and hear this...WHO CARES!! It's a travesty that we as Media resorts to OBVIOUS RACIAL SLANDER just to get views. But ESPN? Come on now..who in their right mind would OK a headline that states "CHINK IN ARMOR" describing an Asian Americans basketball performance? Especially an outlet that gives us 99% of our Sports News coverage. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not stating that ESPN has a hidden racist agenda but somebody thought this ish was FUNNY! At this point im waiting for the headline that reads "Monkey Loses The Bananna" or "Cracker Gets Cracked" or "Essay Can't Win An Essay"

. Truely I think its past a Fireable Offense because if you think about it almost 50 MILLION people constantly tune in to ESPN for their reports, candid interviews, and outspoken panels and i know for a fact that Skip Bayless or Stephen A Smith would NEVER stoop to that level, If anything they are glorifying this guy and his athletic abilities. Maybe it was a jealous reporter who never could quite learn how to dribble, or a editor who who fought in vietnam, or an intern who always got smashed in pick up games or just a jealous writer who hates Jackie Chan? The point is this mistake (as-reported) is inexcusable in the first degree! NO MATTER THE REASON! Because you have to be quite retarded to think for 2 seconds that should have made it from the desk to TV! Oh, or the fact that it was REPEATED on live television without even a look of "WTF!!" But hey even hookers stay on their knees for a paycheck so at that moment that shoe fit. In my eyes, At this point in life and being a Realist i will say that the remark MAY have been in fun but if FUN constitutes a person of a different race, creed or color being humiliated and embarassed for a couple laughs ISN'T A JOKE!!
